Episode summary
Jesse Lee Peterson interviews media personality and blogger Perez Hilton in a short segment dominated by a dispute over religion, science and sexuality. Hilton says he does not believe in God and argues there is no factual evidence for an afterlife, while describing evolution as “scientifically proven” and saying he trusts scientists “smarter than me”. Peterson challenges Hilton’s framing by pressing for direct personal proof, and then pivots to Hilton’s family life.
Hilton says his children are what matter most to him, says he has three, and tells Peterson he is “a gay dad” who wants to marry a man. Peterson responds that he does not support laws against same-sex marriage but claims problems arise when LGBT topics are taught in schools, arguing some people “impose” due to insecurity. Peterson then asks Hilton how he knows he is gay, and follows up with explicit sexual questions and queries about whether Hilton grew up closer to his mother or father.
Hilton objects to the line of questioning, says the exchange is not what he was told he would be doing, and ends the interview early. After Hilton leaves, Peterson laughs with his producer, repeatedly says Hilton “ran”, and questions why he exited before closing the segment with calls to like, subscribe and donate.
